Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains how Duroob collects, uses and protects data when you browse this website, send an enrolment or contact request, or use the Duroob learning platform.
Data we collect
- Data you send us: when you fill in the enrolment or contact form: your name, phone number, email (optional), who the place is for, the learner’s age or grade, the program you’re interested in, your city, your preferred format and your message, and the intro-call time if you book one. If you start the Bawsala registration form and leave before sending it, we keep what you typed (such as names and phone number) so we can contact you and help you finish registering.
- Registration data: when you complete registration through your private registration link: guardian and student details, last school and last report card, language levels and the payment receipt.
- Learning data on the Duroob platform: account details, progress and grades, submitted work, messages, invoices and receipts, and issued certificates.
- Browsing data: we use the Meta Pixel, from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure our ads and to show them to people who have visited the site. The pixel sets a cookie in your browser and sends Meta the pages you visit and some of what you do on them, such as sending a request, booking an intro call, paying or messaging us on WhatsApp, and it may send a scrambled (hashed) form of contact details you type into a form. You can stop this in the ad settings of your Facebook or Instagram account, or by blocking cookies in your browser. If we turn on visitor statistics, they collect general usage data such as pages visited and device type.
How we use data
- To reply to your request and suggest the right program and level.
- To complete registration, deliver programs, track progress, and issue certificates, transcripts and receipts.
- To contact you, and parents or guardians, about learning, schedules and fees.
- To improve our programs and website.
Contacting us on WhatsApp
If you choose to send your request on WhatsApp, the WhatsApp app opens on your device with the message already written, and nothing is sent until you press send yourself. Messages on WhatsApp are also covered by WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
Paying online
When you pay for a program on this site (such as Bawsala), the payment happens on Stripe’s secure payment page. You enter your card details with Stripe directly: they never pass through our site and we don’t keep them. We send Stripe the registration details the payment needs (such as the student’s name, the reference number and the parent’s name, phone and email), and Stripe tells us what confirms the payment: the amount, the reference and the email address. Payments are also covered by Stripe’s privacy policy.
Sharing data
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with people at Duroob who need it to provide the service (such as mentors, student affairs and administrators), with technical providers who run the website and platform for us, with our payment provider (Stripe) when you pay on the site, with Meta to measure our ads as described above, or when the law requires it. Data that reaches Meta is also covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
Certificate verification
Every certificate and transcript carries a serial number and a QR code. Anyone with the number or code can see the document’s details as issued, such as the learner’s name, the program or grade, the issue date and, for transcripts, the grades, to confirm it is genuine. Only share a document’s number with people you want to be able to check it.
Children’s data
Children and school students are registered by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on their behalf. Parents can review their child’s data and ask us to correct or delete it at any time.
Retention and security
We keep data for as long as it’s needed for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations, such as grade and certificate records, and we use technical and organisational measures to protect it from unauthorised access.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or stop contact messages, by writing to info@duroob.me.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post any change on this page with the date of the last update.
